Mourning ceremony of military pilots dumping

On the 26th of October, 2012 at the Troitsk cemetery of Krasnoyarsk there was a ceremony of military pilots dumping who had lost in attaining a combat task during the Great Patriotic War.

Three military pilots remains were buried in a communal grave. All the crew perished on the 27th of May 1943 during a ferry flight of А-20 "Boston" USAF bomber at the east front. Because of technical breakdown the plane fallen not far from the Krjuchkovo railway station of Emeljanovsky area. The body of Victor Panov - radio operator gunner was revealed near to the plane right after the air crash, and he was buried at the Troitsk cemetery of Krasnoyarsk in May of 1943 in a communal grave. Only in summer of this year, Krasnoyarsk searchers found the remains of other members of the bomber crew.
The crew composition of A-20 "Boston" plane:
- captain Stepanov P. M – an aircraft commander.
- captain Kravets P. M – a flight engineer.
- lieutenant Shajhutdinov G. N – an aircraft mechanic.
- senior lieutenant Panov V. A – a radio operator gunner.
Representatives of the Krasnoyarsk region governor administration, deputies of the Legislative Assembly, relatives of the lost pilots, participants of search parties, officers and cadets of the SFU Military Training Center took part in the mourning ceremony. On the burial place, the memorable stone with the names of the lost pilots was established.
