The “Zvezda” rescue and fire-fighting patrol department
25.09.2013  On September 25, at 10:00, the opening ceremony of the voluntary students rescue and fire-fighting patrol department named “Zvezda” took place at the territory of its basing, at the Military Engineering Institute of the Siberian Federal University.
The following high guests were present at the ceremonial opening and made a congratulatory speech:
- metropolitan of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk, archbishop Panteleymon;
- pro-rector of SibFU Garin Evgeny Nikolaevich;
- deputy chief of the Siberian regional center of EMERCOM of Russia, major general of internal forces Yeremeyev Alexander Nikolaevich.
2 fire-fighting teams of the “Zvezda” patrol, composed of officers and cadets of the MEI, performed their rescue skills before the guests and personnel of the Military Engineering Institute. The demonstration included: the alarm departure and isolation of the fire hazard, as well as conducting of rescue work during elimination of the road accidents consequences.
In the end of a ceremonial opening, the area maintenance quarters of the “Zvezda” department were presented to the guests.
