On the eve of one of the greatest for entire Russia days, some two thousand people took part in it, including, cadets and the personnel of the SibFU Military and engineering institute. At the opening of the festival there was also a governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai Lev Kuznetsov. Before the festival began, the governor visited the combat equipment exhibition, which was being held that day at the sport center by law enforcement agencies and the SibFU Military and engineering institute
The main event of the festival was the military patriotic game "Siberian Shield".
On February 21, in the first day of the game, at several playgrounds of the town, the teams passed various stages of competition – "marching drill", "weapons practice", "hand-to-hand fighting", "obstacle course", and "weapons disassembly and assembly".
Events of the second day were held at playgrounds of the "Sporteks" center for extreme sports. There the final stage of competitions of the military patriotic game "Siberian Shield" took place. Following the results of the game, team of Military department of the Military and engineering institute ranked first in competitions.
